At Home Montessori Monday! Here is an at home Montessori tray you can create and utilize with your child(ren) this weekend. Colored sand trays are great for sensorial play as well as building fine motor skills and can be utilized to practice tracing numbers, letters, and shapes.

To make this tray:
  1. Put play sand and powder tempera paint (to desired color vibrancy) in a ziploc
  2. Shake thoroughly
  3. Lay the sand out on a tray to dry for several hours.
  4. Once dry, the sand can be transferred to your child's tray and the exploration can begin!

We would love to hear from you! Did you make the trays with your littles? how did they like it? share a picture with us on instagram or facebook!

What Our Clients Are Saying

I was so grateful to find Amici Trilingual Montessori and their sister school Beibei Amigos in North Phoenix.  The trilingual montessori setup helped my daughter expand her learning and get excited about school.  Every day I hear about her new adventures with Ms. Jessica and she is literally already trilingual!  Now I just have to catch up with my four year old.  That's a problem I'm so glad to have.  - Bridgett Hart
