Summer Camp 5-13 years old
June 1st to July 30th
Amici Trilingual Montessori is excited to announce our first Language and Technology Summer Program. Our summer programs curriculum is designed to teach your child Mandarin, Spanish, computer programming and technology skills while having fun!
Campers will learn half of the day in a full Spanish immersion classroom, have lunch/outdoor time and then spend the other half of the day in a full immersion Mandarin classroom. Technology will be taught for one hour each day in English. Amici has partnered with Playful Digital Learning to provide the technology education for the camp.
The languages will be taught organically and naturally through weekly thematic units exploring art, geography, language, mathematics, music, and science as we travel around the world and learn about each continent.

Playful Digital Learning will use Scratch Jr. for children ages 5-8 years old. Scratch Jr. is a visual programming language specifically for young children to introduce coding skills. With Scratch Jr., students will learn how to solve problems, create their own interactive stories, and games. Children will be able to use programming blocks to execute their ideas to modify their characters to move, jump, dance, or sing.
|
Playful Digital Learning will use Minecraft for children ages 9-12 years old. Minecraft is a sandbox video game like a 3D online version of LEGO building. Minecraft can teach children fundamentals of programming skills, engineering mindset, problem-solving, project management skills, collaboration with peers, and creative thinking. Students will get challenges each week and will need to design to solve their challenges. Students will develop computational thinking and programming fundamentals with this block-based coding method.
